Chemical Engineering
Positions include Process Engineers, Quality Assurance Managers, Laboratory Managers, Works Chemists, Research and Development Managers, Research Scientists and Process Consultants.
Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
Positions include Section Engineers, Engineering Managers, Section Superintendents, Mechanical and Electrical Project Engineers, Regional/Area Engineers and Project Managers.
Mining and Civil Engineering
Positions include Quarry Superintendent, Quarry Manager, Works Manager, Readymix Plant Managers and Regional Managers and Product Technical Managers in Readymix operations.
Industrial Engineering
Industrial Engineers are employed both on the cement plants and at the aggregate and readymix operational regional offices in Gauteng, Durban and Cape Town. Industrial Engineers have made successful careers both in line management and in management consulting positions (including logistic positions).
Geology
A limited number of geologists are employed by the company, but Geologists can make a career in quarry management as well as consulting support.
Information systems
We have invested heavily in state of the art information systems across the company. The main ERP is SAP ECC 6.0 EHP 4. Sophisticated front-end systems are installed in the Aggregate and Readymix business unit. Network support specialists are employed for both the LAN and WAN installations. The IS function operates on a Service Level Agreement with the operations, so high standards of service and in-house consultancy are required.
Accounting and Commercial
Our financial reporting systems are world class and the company adheres to the International Accounting Standards under the auspices of its relationship with Holcim Ltd.
Human Resources
Generalist Human Resource Professionals are based around the country in our operations, in one unified HR service run from the Weltevredenpark Shared Service Centre. A high level of integrated, in-house consultancy, service and support to line managers is required.
