AfriSam has donated about 500 lapdesks to the learners of two schools in Dutywa in the Eastern Cape. The lapdesks were handed over at individual ceremonies held at Hadis Junior Secondary School and Zikhovana Junior Secondary School on Wednesday 15 June 2011.

AfriSam has donated 800 lapdesks to the learners of three schools in Libode in the Eastern Cape. The lapdesks were handed over at individual ceremonies held at the respective schools on Monday 13 June 2011 (Makukhanye Senior Secondary School and Matane Primary School) and Tuesday 14 June 2011 (Zinkumbini Primary School).

AfriSam has donated 1130 lapdesks to the learners of Umsilinga Primary School in Umgungundlovu in KwaZulu-Natal. The lapdesks were handed over at a ceremony held at the school on Tuesday 7 June 2011.

Tsholo Diale, corporate social responsibility manager at AfriSam, points out that the company is one of a select few of "one-percentile companies" which allocate a minimum of one percent net profit after tax purely to CSR projects.
