The AfriSam-SAIA Award for Sustainable Architecture
The AfriSam-SAIA award recognises buildings that are the result of an integrated approach to architecture, natural systems and technology. These buildings show that design and sustainability can - and should - be mutually reinforcing.
The winning and commended projects make a positive contribution to their communities and reduce environmental impacts through strategies such as the reuse of existing structures, connection to transit systems, low-impact and regenerative site development, energy and water conservation and the use of sustainable or renewable construction materials.
We call on all practitioners, who share our vision, to enter the AfriSam-SAIA Award for Sustainable Architecture + Innovation – and to bring a better future to lives.
Entries will be accepted in four categories: Sustainable Architecture, Research in Sustainability, Sustainable Products and Technology and Sustainable Social Programmes.
Entries close on the 24th of March 2016.
